Meet The Team

 Along with being our founder and director, Ms. Jyoti Garg has received graduate level training in Kathak, and has continued to teach this beautiful dance form for the past 9 years. She received training in Bharatnatyam when she was younger, and she also brings with her a lifetime of experience of learning and teaching Bollywood dance. She is passionate about what she does and takes any chance she gets to share her beautiful talents with the community. 

Padmashree sure is a joy to have here at Taal. She has been professionally trained in Bharatnatyam and has performed her Arangetram. Learning from her, you are sure to excel and learn all there is to know about this beautiful Indian classical dance form. Not only is she an expert in Bharatnatyam, but in Bollywood as well. She's got moves! Padmashree is innovative and creative, and is sure to bring a challenge to the table with her dynamic choreography. 

Accomplished musician and singer, she joins the Taal team with her vast experience and knowledge in Classical Hindustani sangeet and keyboard. She is always eager to teach those looking to enter the realm of Indian music.
From a young age, Avni began singing and playing music. She has achieved her Sangeet Visharad and continues to teach and perform in the U.S.

Did you say dance? Minti LOVES to dance. She might be small, but she sure is a firecracker. Minti has been dancing her whole life and has been teaching for over 6 years. Minti has made a wonderful addition to Taal as she teaches people of all ages and never fails to leave them with smiles on their faces. Not to mention, her choreography is absolutely brilliant. 

Arushi started her dance career at the age of 5 and was trained in ballet, jazz, and hip-hop until the age of 18. While completing her degree at Georgia Tech, ARushi competed on a Bollywood Fusion dance team and continued dance through sorority events and competitions as well. She is so excited to teach the world of Bollywood and Hip-Hop to students at Taal!

From the age of 5, Krisha was involved in dance. Through her childhood, she learned all dance styles including Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Contemporary, Hip-Hop, Bollywood, and Kathak.  She has trained in kathak for over 9 years, and has been awarded her Visharad Degree through The Gandharva Mahavidyalaya School of Kathak. As a result of her 15 years of training in all kinds of dance, she fell in love with the art which sparked a fire to teach! She is so excited to be bringing her experience to Taal and can't wait to share her skills!

You just need a beat to get Sonia going. Her passion and enthusiasm for dance started at a 4 years of age. She has trained in kathak for over 9 years, and has been awarded her Visharad Degree. Sonia brings a world full of new ideas, rich beauty and friendship. Her love and passion for both dance and music combine to form a power like no other, as is evident in every performance of hers.
