KATHAK
Come learn one of the most dynamic theatre arts in the World, and India’s prestigious Classical dance form, Kathak. Characterized by rhythmic footwork and spectacular spins, Kathak utilizes grace, emotion, and sophistication of gesture along with speed and precision of its’ rhythms. Students will receive both practical and theory training, and receive the opportunity to achieve a degree in Kathak from the famous Gandharva Mahavidyala Institute of the Arts in India through yearly exams.
BHARATNATYAM
Come learn the Bharatanatyam style of dance, one of the oldest dance forms in the world and the main form of classical dance from India. The principles and techniques have been systematized and codified around the 4th Century B.C. by Sage Bharata in the ancient treatise called the Natya Sastra.
BOLLYWOOD
This famous dance style of India encompasses classical, semi-classical, and regional folk Indian styles while fusing in westernized hip-hop, jazz, salsa, and more. Becoming one of the most popular dance styles of the World, come groove to the latest beats while learning the techniques and style needed to become a “star”!
HINDUSTANI VOCALS/KEYBOARD
Whether you are interested in learning elements required for Classical or light Indian music, train your voice to sing like a “star”. You will learn the fundamentals of Hindustani music, including raag’s and taal’s, while learning to master the keyboard for accompaniment. Students will receive both practical and theory training, and receive the opportunity to achieve a degree in Hindustani Classical Sangeet through yearly exams.
