Rahee - Dance spectacular

“Rahee” on Sept 24th, 2011 at the Peace Center was a smashing success. Mesmerizing performances by children won every ones heart. Spectacular musical payed tribute to the evolution of bollywood, with a grand Bollywood style Finale! followed by sumptuous Indian cuisine. The audience was dazzled with the popular Bollywood tunes and the lively costumes and the story about Bollywood.

Ages: 4-6 yrs. $160 (includes materials)

'Explore India' Art Camp is truly a fun and dynamic summer experience that will spark creativity, exploration and individual expression. India's rich culture and heritage explodes through, in all of it's beautiful arts and handicrafts. in a session, campers will learn a wide variety of unique art work from traditional to modern India. Art techniques will include Phad and Warli art, Mirror art , Culture by sculpture, Embossed pop art, Block printing, Cross stitch, Indian Cartoon animation, and many others. The program we have built welcomes each camper as a unique individual bursting with potential.

JOIN New Session of Kathak Lessons NOW!

Madhuri Dixit is well known as one of the best dancers the Indian film industry has ever seen.

Did you know Madhuri is a trained Kathak dancer. Her dancing prowess, thanks to eight years of training in kathak, has wowed fans worldwide.

Kathak, India’s prestigious Classical dance form known for its’ intricacy, grace and charm originated from northern India over 6,000 years ago, and is one of the oldest forms of theatrical dance in the world.

At TAAL, Kathak students will learn Nritta (pure dance, technique), Nritya (dance with rhythm and expression) and Natya (drama).

Students will receive both practical and theory training, and will undergo yearly exams to receive degree in Kathak from the prestigious Gandharva Mahavidyala Institute of the Arts in India. Upon mastery and completion of course, students are invited to perform ‘Rangmanch Pravesh’ or graduation performance.

Gandharva Mahavidyala

Students learn kathak dance in Greenville and are tested by “Gandharva Mahavidyala” Institute of the Arts, India.

Student performance is graded in Atlanta as well as recorded and sent to the prestigious institute in India.

Taal affiliates with Nritya Natya Kala Bharti, School for the performing arts, located in Atlanta, Georgia, USA.

"Summer Art Camp 2010"

Splash into the "COLORS" of Summer as we dive into the colorful world of "ART"

Kids will explore their creativity by using a variety of media including drawing, painting, multimedia collage and clay, mehendi art (specific to boys and girls).
Kids ages 7-12yrs will make their very own ethnic Indian decorative table to bring home and keep !

Camp conducted by professional artist and instructor, Dimple Chindaliya.
